Member benefits

You can find out more about the rich heritage of Scotland’s gardens and designed landscapes by joining us and supporting the conservation work we undertake. You will meet an enthusiastic group of members who share an interest in safeguarding this precious resource. We organise lectures and  visits to gardens of special historic interest (many not usually open to the public).  We publish a newsletter*, The Pleasaunce, three times a year.

How to join

To qualify for our special ‘Online’ rate please join through our secure online payments facility – please see below. ‘Online’ members receive communications through email. If you don’t have an email address you can join by cheque at our ‘Postal’ rate: our postal rate is higher to cover the cost of communicating by post.

Student membership is free, so please contact us with your student registration number, and we will add you to our membership database. Student membership is valid until you are no longer a registered student.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer and sign a Gift Aid declaration (PDF), SGLH can increase the value of your donation by claiming back 25p of tax on every £1 of your donations made on or after 6 April 2015.
