We are a national charity formed to promote and protect the historic gardens and designed landscapes of Scotland.
We organise conservation projects with volunteers, run lectures and study days for members and campaign for our garden and landscape heritage. Our online newsletter, The Pleasaunce, is published three times a year, along with an annual scholarly edition.
SGLH was launched in May 2015. As part of the Garden History Society, we have been working in this area for the last 50 years. SGLH formed as the result of the merger of the Garden History Society in Scotland (GHSS) and the Garden History Society in Scotland Conservation Trust (GHSSCT).
